Filing Complaints About Your Provider

The Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) is the licensing body for Licensed Professional Counselors and other professional mental health providers in the state of Texas. For any questions or concerns about a licensee, you may contact the Council directly via their webpage: bhec.texas.gov/contact-us/ Complaints about a licensee must be submitted using the Council’s complaint form. The completed form can be sent by email to Enforcement@bhec.texas.gov or by mail to 1801 Congress Avenue, Suite 7.300, Austin, Texas 78701.

You may also file a consumer complaint with the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, Consumer Protection division on their webpage at www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection.
